This template was used for the Third Grade Saint Report.Students were assigned a saint to research based on their baptismal name or birth date. With binder paper and pencil in hand, they were allowed 2-35 minute class sessions to do research on their saint. Their goal was to collect the four pieces of information requested below and try to find at least 3-5 other interesting pieces of information. Realizing that many saint web sites are at a higher reading level, students were reminded to put ideas into their own words (as they understood them).
The third class session was used to start inserting gathered information into the template. Students were walked through the process and the tables were added later by the tech coordinator to give them a more pleasant appearance.
The following sites were used for research; students were encouraged to view the sites in order. The first site was determined to be more grade level appropriate.
