Katarina

Eight year old Katarina had to suffer in the period when the Jews hated the Germans and the Germans hated the Jews. This story takes place during the year 1942 in Slovakia. It is the period  when the Jews were being taken away to work camps. Katarina and her family have to hide in the Husars barn to hide from the Germans. Their only source of food and water is their friend Pavel. Hope is the main emotion in this story. Without hope Katarina and her family would not be able to survive.
