SummaryThis story is
about a group of friends whose names are Mark, Anna, Ben, and Little
Tracey. They like to tell
stories to each other at the bus stop while waiting for the bus. This time it was Little TraceyŐs turn
to pick the story that her sister was going to tell. She wanted it to be about fairies or
horses but then Anna suggested it to be about a girl who lived in World War
II and whose name was Heidi. She
was HitlerŐs daughter. Everyone
thought that was a great idea so that was the story she told. As Anna continues telling her story everyone, especially Mark gets worried about the life of Hitler and his daughter. He thinks about what it would have been like if his dad was the one who was the horrible man who was destroying the lives of innocent people everyday and trying to take over the world. To Mark the story seemed so very, very real that he started to wonder what he would do in the same situation. |

Characters and Setting Hitler- a man who lived during World War II
and tried to take over the world and killed many because of the features they
had or what nationality they were. Heidi- she was HitlerŐs daughter and she
had to cope with her father being this evil man and knowing that by influence
she might turn out that way someday Mark- one of the friends who waits at the bus stop and tells
stories, gets very troubled with the story that Anna tells and really gets
him to think about what he wouldŐve done if he was in the situation that
Heidi was in. Anna- another friend who waits at the bus stop and makes up
the story about Heidi SettingThis story takes
place in Germany during World War II.
Concentration camps are everywhere with people of just about every
race. It is a very sad and
downcast environment with tons of people dying every minute. Screams and calls of distress are
heard often from many people who are getting tortured and killed. Tons of German soldiers are
everywhere making sure that everyone is doing what they are supposed to
do. It is definitely not a happy
place. |

Book Review I thought that
this book was very good. It was
very intense and you felt like you were in the story. It was very sad to see all of the
awful things that Hitler did and you felt sorry for Heidi and how she had to
cope with all of it. The fact
that Hitler really did do those things saddened me even more. For example in the book it talked
about all of the things he did to torture the people. By the end of the story it really
opened my eyes to how horrible and unaccepting people can really be. It also made me happy that it was
just a story and that it wasnŐt happening right now. |
