Summary

In 1912, Margaret Ann Brady bravely boards the greatest ship in

the sea: The RMS Titanic.  As a new helpful companion to wealthy Mrs. Carstairs, she lives in luxury on the ship.

Margaret has many friends on the ship.  She is especially fond of the steward, Robert.  When he comes to visit her, she knows that everything is all right, and she learns about everything on the ship.

One dreadful night, Robert comes frantically knocking on MargaretÕs bedroom door.  He quickly explains that the ship has hit an ice burg and will sink within hours.   Margaret frantically gets her life belt on and goes to the deck to meet Robert again.

MargaretÕs waiting and waiting and wondering where Robert is.  When he does not show up, she decides to go look for him.  Margaret finally finds him on the lower deck of the ship.  She then begs him not to leave her and to come with her to get off the ship and be safe, but he refuses.  He wants to stay with the crew until the end, so he hugs her and kisses her for one last time.  He then tells her to go and save herself.  So she sadly goes back to the deck.

When Margaret finally got onto a lifeboat, she eagerly waits to see if Robert got out safely.  Then she heard a loud shriek of people and the Titanic split in half, taking Robert with it.

A few hours pass and a ship called the Carpathia saves MargaretÕs lifeboat.  A few days pass and she grieves over RobertÕs death and heads to New York to find her brother.  When she reaches New York, she has a pleasant reunion with her brother.   She will never forget the dreadful night of April 12, 1912, and the lives that were sacrificed for her sake.

Review

This was an excellent book.  It contained the aspects of terror, sadness, happiness, and friendship and had a suspenseful plot.  This book was an extravagant historical novel of a passengerÕs experience on the great Titanic and how she lost some of the people who she loved.  This was and amazing book.
