Raz-Kids: Read a story from Raz -Kids. There may be a robot who appears asking for a task to be completed. If possible, ignore that robot and just read a story. That was meant for the children to complete during Stations time on Thursday. I guess I didn't think that through when I set it up. No problem if your child completed it.
I am sorry for the miscommunication on the Raz-Kids. I had to leave immediately after school to attend a religion recertification course at St. Cecilia and didn't get back to the website. We will make it all work tomorrow!!

Field trip slips were sent home today. Please fill out the blue form completely so that your child can go on the field trip with us. We will need 11 parents to drive. Only parents who's Shield the Vulnerable, drivers license, and car insurance forms are current will be chosen to chaperone.

Spelling: Write this week's list words three times. Note that they are all long a words spelled with a "Magic E" at the end.
Math: Page 3.8. We worked on this today at school They are using ten frames (boxes with ten spaces) to help solve math problems. By moving some of the "chips" that they draw, they can show how making a ten can help them solve a math problem. 8 + 4 is the same as 10 + 2. They both equal 12.

We had a surprise visit today from Santa and his reindeer!! They dropped off from the roof we think, letters from some of Santa's elves who had read the letters that we sent to Santa last week. It was great timing because our 8th grade buddies were working on a reindeer project with us at the time the sleigh arrived so they could read the letters to us. Check out Mrs. Donovan's home page to see some pictures of us. They will be in the photo album section!!
Spelling: For those students doing a retake of last week's word list, please do a practice spelling test. If you miss some on the practice test, take time to rewrite them correctly a few times on the back.
Angel News: Please take a few minutes to read the notes regarding our angel parts tomorrow!! I have attached a pdf of the letter that was sent home in case you do not find the letter in your child's folder.

Spelling: Several students were given a "retake" for Spelling Test Lesson 11. It was a difficult list and I hope that one more shot at the words will help them.
Santa Hat Day is tomorrow (for a $1.00 donation). It doesn't have to be a Santa Hat....reindeer antlers, elf hat, etc. work just fine too. But just for fun!

There will be a make-up Spelling Test on Friday for the students who did not do well on last week's challenging list. Information regarding that will be sent home tomorrow with those particular students. I would like to keep practicing those words for mastery both in reading and spelling. I have attached the spelling list again to this homework site for practice.

Math: Double worksheet. Study for the Friday math test focusing on doubles.
Spelling: Take a practice spelling test for the test on Friday. This is a challenging list so practice the words often. Look for patterns to help spell the words.

Spelling: Take a practice spelling test with lesson 10 words. If your child misses a word, have them practice it a few more times and try that word again.
Math: Practice page on addition of 7 facts. This will be a review test of all facts, but mostly on adding 7.
Scholastic Book orders are due tomorrow, but if you put them in late, I will do my best to get them sent separately so you can have them by Christmas.
