POLICIES AND CRITERIA
Although we would love to accept any child who applies to St. Brendan School, that is not always possible. Priority admissions generally are given to children with siblings already enrolled in the school; then to Catholic families who have been active, registered, and contributing members of our parish for at least one year prior to applying to our school; and then to other Catholic families and families from other Christian denominations and faith traditions. We seek to enroll children whose capabilities will allow them to thrive at our school, and whose family values are consistent with our mission and philosophy.
While the majority of our families are Catholic, we welcome families of all faiths. The Catholic credo of “Do unto others as you would have done unto you” reflects a value system that resonates through multiple faith traditions and provides an excellent moral compass for all people. Non-Catholic students participate in religion classes, attend school Masses, and participate with their classmates in sacramental preparation and services.
St. Brendan School mindful of its mission to be witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students of any race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at this school. St. Brendan School does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and/or ethnic origin, sex, or disability in administration of educational policies, admissions policies, tuition assistance programs, athletics, and other school-administered programs.
