—CYO cross country is coed and offered to all students grades 3-8.

—We will practice twice a week with days to be determined the first week of school.  Practices begin the week of September 1st, starting at 3:15 and ending at 3:50.

—Any student who plans to run should get changed immediately following dismissal, drop their backpacks at the gym and meet with the coaches & parent runners no later than 3:15 in front of the gym.

—Any students who attend after care and will be running with us should change and we will come to collect them from and then return them to aftercare

—Parents should plan to come and pick up promptly at 3:50 at the gym.  All of our coaches have to get to their next practices and events so please be on time or arrange for aftercare.  After 4pm any students still in our care will get checked into aftercare.

—Practices/run routes will be in the area immediately surrounding the school to allow for kids to peel off, stop back at the gym and use the facilities if necessary or wait for rides

—Coaches Danny Williams & Minh-Chau Le did an amazing job last year and we are so lucky to have them both back and running with the kids again.  We are looking for more parents to run along side our students, insure safety at intersections and stay at the school to collect those who stop early and help deal with any issues.  Please let us know if you have time in your schedule and want to possibly help and we can reach out as we get closer to starting.

—Ideally, by offering Cross country, we want to expand what sports we can offer to our kids while not diluting the programs that are already in motion and ingrained in our community.  This means that, if your child has soccer or volleyball during our scheduled cross country practice time, please have them attend that practice in lieu of cross country for the day.

—Cross country practice is a large undertaking for our coaches, with a lot of moving parts and without the helpful physical boundaries of a gym or field.  Please speak to your child before practice begins that in order for this to remain a safe environment for us all that listening and adhering to guidelines is of the utmost importance and is required for participation.

UNIFORMS ARE TO BE WASHED, DRYED AND GIVEN TO YOUR CHILD’S
