Science Grade 4
Welcome to the notes page!
Taking good notes requires students to organize, evaluate, and summarize information. For Science, we use a modified Cornell method in an effort to practice these skills. Often note taking is assigned prior to class so as to preview the content and provide them with a structure, to promote listening rather than copying down; ultimately, providing them with an opportunity to engage with the material. Notes taken during class are important points of discussion which, in turn, give more meaning to the content.
Notes will be posted on a weekly basis, if not before.

Summer Summary:
The instructions for taking notes and writing a summary are found on my POST page. Look at the top Right of this page. You have done this in class before so this should be a familiar process for them. The 2 summaries are due the first Science class period August 22nd.
They can come from any SuperStem magazine. I will have a pdf of a couple of Science articles here on my website if you are not with your magazines or lose them and want to get started. Happy Reading and Writing!
